At Happy Bunnies Nursery School, the safety, wellbeing, and happiness of every child are at the heart of everything we do. We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in our care, following robust procedures in line with current legislation and local authority guidance.

Our team receives regular safeguarding training to ensure staff can confidently recognise and respond to any concerns relating to neglect, abuse, exploitation, or extremism. Safeguarding is a shared responsibility, and every member of our nursery team plays an active role in creating a safe, nurturing environment for children.

We follow strict safer recruitment procedures, including enhanced DBS checks, reference checks, and qualification verification, to ensure all staff are suitable to work with children.

We work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to make sure every child feels safe, supported, and protected at all times.

Copies of our safeguarding and safer recruitment policies are available in the nursery entrance area, and our management team is always happy to answer any questions or discuss our procedures further.

If parents, carers, or staff have any safeguarding concerns, we encourage you to speak directly with the Nursery Manager or our Designated Safeguarding Lead.

We also provide access to an independent anonymous reporting service, Safecall, for anyone who may feel more comfortable raising concerns online or by telephone. Information and posters are displayed prominently throughout the nursery to ensure everyone feels confident reporting anything they believe may require further investigation.
